  • Banned Stade Francais prop David Attoub will learn the outcome of his appeal against a 70-week gouging ban at an ERC hearing on March 2.

Attoub was slapped with the suspension for gouging Ulster flanker Stephen Ferris. Attoub has appealed both the finding of foul play and the sanction imposed by an ERC panel following the incident in Stade's Heineken Cup loss at Ravenhill on December 12, 2009. Currently, Attoub is not cleared to play again until April 2011.

  • Paul Sackey has maintained that his move away from Wasps was not motivated by money. The winger will leave the Guinness Premiership club at the end of the season to take up an unspecified contract in France, but insists he is concerned only by playing factors.

"It's not about the money," he told Sky Sports News. "I've stayed at Wasps for so many years when I could have gone. I'm at that stage in my career when I need a new challenge; I need a new lease of life. I think a move away from Wasps at this moment in time is probably a good step for me - it will probably make me more enthusiastic about the game. I'm definitely not going for the money. I would have stayed at Wasps for a little bit more."

  • Fiji international Seremaia Bai has signed a two-year deal with Top 14 high-flyers Castres. The utility back joins from Clermont Auvergne, where he has played since 2006.

  • The Sharks have promised to ban any fans found throwing missiles after Chiefs fly-half Stephen Donald kicked the winning points in their Super 14 clash at Kings Park last weekend despite objects being thrown onto the pitch.

"I wish to advise that anyone caught behaving in an inappropriate manner or throwing missiles onto the field will be removed and banned from the stadium," Sharks CEO Brian van Zyl said. "We condemn this kind of antisocial behaviour which casts Sharks rugby in a bad light. We pride ourselves on delivering an exceptional product and boast a family atmosphere unrivalled in the rugby world and distance ourselves from this behaviour."

  • The Dragons have announced that prop Hugh Gustafson has signed a new two-year deal with the Magners League side.

  • Prop Tevita Taumoepeau has signed a new one-year deal to remain with Worcester Warriors.
