- Chiefs prop Sona Taumalolo has been cited for an alleged high tackle on Reds' fly-half Quade Cooper in his side's Super 14 round four loss on Friday night.
The Reds won the game 23-18 in one of the upsets of the season and the loss of Taumalolo would be a further blow to the Chiefs.
Taumalolo was cited by Sanzar citing commissioner Steve Hinds for the tackle which came early in the game. Taumalolo will appear at a judicial hearing in Wellington on Monday.
- Scotland centre Nick de Luca has signed a two-year extension to his existing deal with Edinburgh, revealing that he never had any intention on leaving a club he feels capable of winning this season's Magners League title.
"There were a lot of reasons behind my decision to stay with Edinburgh - I'm enjoying my rugby here, we've got a good group of lads and good coaches," de Luca said. "But the main reason is because I believe Edinburgh is a team moving forward and I want to be a part of that.
"Over the past two seasons, I've been fortunate enough to have been involved in the majority of Edinburgh's games and we've finished fourth and then second in the Magners League. Those were great achievements to have been a part of, but now we've got six games in order to better that and everyone is excited about what we can achieve."
