Scotland international hooker Dougie Hall, has signed a two year extension with Magners league side Glasgow Warriors.
"We have the players and the desire at Glasgow to win the Magners League and it's something that I want to achieve in my time here," said the 29-year-old who won the last of his 31 caps against Argentina in November.
Warriors head coach Sean Lineen added, "I think Dougie is a quality player. He is a real perfectionist and that rubs off on the rest of the team. He tackles well and has so much experience. At this stage of his career, to sign again for Glasgow, just shows you what we're about."
The Warriors have also been boosted by the re-signing of Scotland A flanker Calum Forrester while Glasgow Hawks stand-off Duncan Weir has earned his first full professional contract.
Waratahs centre Tom Carter signed a new two-year deal with the Sydney-based Super 14 franchise that will take him through to the end of the 2012 season.
"I've always been really happy here at the Tahs and when they approached me to extend my contract I was always pretty likely to stay," said the 27-year-old. "Of course you see what's out there and try to look at it without emotion to make sure you're making the best decision from a personal and a Rugby point of view, and I'm more than comfortable with the decision I've made.
The Ospreys have confirmed that Scottish international Nikki Walker has signed a new contract that will keep him at the Liberty Stadium until 2012.
"It was a very easy decision for me to make, particularly with things going so well this season," said the 28-year-old winger. "We are top of the Magners League and through to the last eight in Europe so it's an exciting time for the Ospreys, as far as the rugby side of things are concerned I didn't have to think too hard about signing a new contract. The coaching team is excellent, probably the best that I've ever played under, and I'm pleased that I'm going to get the opportunity to work with them for the next two seasons."
