  • English official Wayne Barnes will referee the Heineken Cup final between Toulouse and Biarritz at the Stade de France on May 22.

Barnes, 31, will become the youngest referee to take charge of European club rugby's biggest fixture and succeeds Wales' Nigel Owens, who took charge in both 2008 and 2009. Ireland's Alain Rolland will take charge of the European Challenge Cup final between Toulon and Cardiff Blues on May 23 in Marseille.

  • Wasps have signed scrum-half Nic Berry from Top14 side Racing Metro.

A former Queensland Reds representative, Berry, 26, has also been capped by Australia at Under-21 level and joins the Premiership side on a two-year deal.

"I have really enjoyed my time in France to date, but the chance to discover a new city and a very competitive Premiership was too good to turn down," he said. "Both my wife Mel and myself are looking forward to becoming part of a club with such a proud tradition."

  • Glasgow have signed lock Aly Muldownie from Championship side Moseley on his first full-time professional contract.
