  • Western Force have announced the signings of Pat Dellitt, Paul Alo-Emile and Phoenix Battye. Dellitt has been a prolific try-scorer for Eastern Suburbs in the New South Wales state competition over the past two seasons, while Alo-Emile and Battye both starred for the Wallabies in their run to the final of this year's IRB Junior World Championships in Argentina.

"We're very happy to welcome these three quality young men to our programme," RugbyWA chief executive Vern Reid said.

"Both Paul and Phoenix are exciting development propositions who have already shown enormous potential through their performances in schoolboys and the Australian Under-20s. They're eager to learn and work alongside the high calibre of experienced players we have at the Force and also understand that we're a club not afraid to give youngsters their opportunity to shine.

"Pat is a player who has worked hard to become a consistent performer in the tough Sydney club competition. Just like Mitch Inman and Ben McCalman who joined the Force last season from the NSW first grade, Pat is someone we hold in high regard and look forward to seeing him grasp his opportunity at the next level."

  • Sale Sharks have announced that Mahonri Schwalger has joined Taranaki with immediate effect. The Samoa hooker only arrived at Edgley Park at the start of last season but has decided to move on to pastures new.

Sale Sharks' Chief Executive Officer Mick Hogan commented: " I would like to thank Mahonri for the time he spent with us and wish him all the best with his new club and in his future career."
