Italy coach Nick Mallett has named two uncapped players in his squad to face Argentina in Verona on November 13.

Treviso scrum-half Edoardo Gori will go up against established halfbacks Tito Tebaldi and Pablo Canavosio for the No.9 jersey while his club team-mate Tommaso Benvenuti has been rewarded for some strong early-season form with a call-up.

Skipper Sergio Parisse has been named in the squad despite fears over a neck problem suffered while on club duty with Stade Francais while fly-half Craig Gower - fresh from turning down overtures from NRL clubs - is also named after recovering from an injury.

Italy 'A' will also be in action against Tonga on November 19, with Mallett confirming that players cut from the Test squad could feature in that fixture as well as subsequent meetings with Australia and Fiji.
