Edinburgh lock Scott MacLeod and Glasgow flanker Chris Fusaro have been suspended for one week following their dismissals in Monday's Magners League clash.

MacLeod and Fusaro will miss Sunday's second Greaves Sports 1872 Cup game at Murrayfield after being sent-off at Firhill as the Warriors won 30-18.

A Scottish Rugby statement read, "The pair were dismissed under Law 10.4 (a) - punching or striking. The panel - chaired by Douglas Hunter and also comprising Grant Wilson and Andrew McKechnie - determined that both players would be suspended for one week, up to and including Monday, January 3, 2011."

The statement continued, "Mr Hunter said the panel considered it was a low-end offence by both players whose previous good behaviour and their contrition on the night of the game and in their appearance before the panel was taken into account in mitigation."
