Perpignan have denied making any contact with Stade Francais scrum-half Julien Dupuy.

According to reports in France, the Catalans had agreed a deal with the former Leicester Tigers No.9, who is set to come under intense pressure for his place in the Stade starting line-up next season on account of the imminent arrival of Toulouse scrum-half Byron Kelleher in the French capital.

However, Perpignan president Paul Goze insists that he has not made any approach to either Dupuy or Stade.

"I have neither seen nor known, neither met nor even considered contact Julien Dupuy," Goze told L'Independent.

Consequently, Dupuy, who has been capped six times by France, is now expected to see out the remaining two years of his contract with Stade.
