Tuilagi departs from Sale

Sale Sharks centre Anitele'a Tuilagi will leave the club with immediate effect, Sale announced on Monday.

The centre, known as Andy, joined Sale in August 2008 from newly relegated Leeds and has previously lined up for St Helens RL and Leicester Tigers. The centre, brother to Manu, Henry, Freddie and Alesana, signed a four year contract in 2008, but will not see out the final year of his deal.

He played 42 games for Sale, scoring three tries in the process and the announcement comes as part of Steve Diamond's restructuring process at Sale which has seen 22 players and four backroom staff leave.
