Newcastle Falcons' season has gone from bad to worse after second-row James Hudson was cited for an alleged dangerous tackle.

The citing originates from Newcastle's loss to London Irish on September 24. In a season where Newcastle are thus far winless - they will hope that he is cleared and free to play. Three players have already been on the wrong side of the law this season with Harlequins' Joe Marler, Worcester Warriors' Dale Rasmussen and Gloucester's Will James all receiving bans for their own respective misdemeanors.

Hudson will appear at a Rugby Football Union Disciplinary Hearing on Monday, October 3 in Leeds.
