The Blue Bulls have terminated the contract of Bees Roux.

The 29-year-old was found to have trained with the Pumas during his culpable murder trial for the killing of police officer Johannes Mogale.

Roux, who received a five-year suspended sentence following a plea bargain for his role in the killing, testified to a disciplinary hearing that he thought he had permission to train with the Pumas.

However, a statement from the Blue Bulls said presiding officer David Short found that the Employer/Employee relationship had "irretrievably broken down" after it came to the company's attention that Roux trained with the Pumas while still under contract with the Blue Bulls.

"A continuation of the Employer/Employee relationship has become intolerable and therefore summary dismissal is an appropriate sanction under the circumstances. Roux's services have therefore been summarily terminated by the Company with immediate effect."
