South Africa centre Jacque Fourie will join Japanese club Panasonic Wild Knights on a short-term deal.

The Stormers and Western Province star has agreed to join the Japanese club from November 1 until the end of the Japanese season. That will allow Fourie to return to South Africa in time to play for the Stormers in the 2012 Super Rugby season. Fourie, 28, will then be available for the Springboks' Tri-Nations campaign next summer.

Francois Louw, CJ Van der Linde and Peter Grant have already left the South African club, with Grant expected to return for the Super Rugby season in a similar manner as Fourie. Province managing director Rob Wagner had previously stated that Fourie's long-term future was with the club despite the prospect of a short-term deal eslewhere.
