Aviva Premiership table-toppers Harlequins have received a boost with lock George Robson signing a new three-year deal with the Twickenham Stoop side.

Harlequins are currently six from six in the Premiership and Robson has played a significant part in their recent success impressing in the second-row. And he will make his 100th appearance for Quins if selected to face Exeter Chiefs at the weekend. Harlequins boss Conor O'Shea was delighted to announce the England Saxons lock's re-signing as he looks set to stay at the Stoop until the end of the 2014-15 season.

"George is one of the most competitive people I have ever come across," O'Shea said. "As someone who has grown up in the club he has ambitions over the coming years to win silverware, not only with us but also internationally. We are delighted he has committed to us for the best years of his rugby career and look forward to helping him achieve his goals."

And Robson also expressed his delight at committing his future to Harlequins. Robson said: "I see us being a dominant side over the next few years and that's something I want to be a part of. I love playing rugby for this club and I'm always proud to pull on the Harlequins jersey.

"Having supported Harlequins as a kid, it's going to be a massive honour for me to make my 100th appearance for the club at the Stoop this Saturday. I want to continue being part of a successful team, in a positive environment, whilst striving to fulfill my own international aspirations."
