Former Harlequins coach Dean Richards is reportedly on the verge of taking the helm at Worcester Warriors once his suspension from rugby is completed.

Richards was suspended back in 2009 following his role in 'Bloodgate' and was hit with a three-year ban. But he will be free to take up coaching again come the summer and according to reports in the Daily Mail, Warriors supremo Cecil Duckworth has already lined up for the former Tigers coach to replace Richard Hill.

Current Warriors boss Hill's contract expires at the end of the current season and despite earning promotion back to the Premiership and a steady start to the current campaign, Duckworth has apparently already had discussions with Richards.

The pair already have previous after Duckworth sought advice from Richards back in 2010 when the former Tigers boss was less than a year into his three-year ban. Ironically, the advice Duckworth sought was over the appointment of Hill as their new boss.

Richards has recently admitted that he is relishing the chance to return to coaching once his time away from the game is up.
