All Blacks legend Jonah Lomu has been re-admitted to hospital, according to his wife.

Lomu is receiving treatment for kidney failure. The giant former winger admitted recently that he was to undergo a second transplant after his donor kidney had stopped working. He also said that he has lost a huge 30 kilograms in weight since September.

The 36-year-old had suffered from the rare illness nephritic syndrome and underwent his last transplant in 2004. He was re-admitted to hospital during the recent World Cup with a related illness.

And his wife - Nadine Lomu - told Television New Zealand on Sunday - that her husband was fighting "a great battle" against the illness.
