Ireland are optimistic that they will have a full squad to pick from ahead of their clash with France on Sunday.

Fullback Rob Kearney and flanker Sean O'Brien both underwent scans on injuries suffered during the Azzurri clash, the Irish Rugby Union said. Kearney reported a tight groin during the game, while O'Brien turned an ankle, but both scans were clear, with Kearney expected back in training this week and his Leinster colleague O'Brien taking some part tomorrow.

Centre Gordon D'Arcy, meanwhile, took a blow to his shoulder, but showed no ill-effects after the game, and prop Cian Healy (jaw) will perform what has been described as "modified training" this week.

Ireland face France in Paris next Sunday in a rearranged Six Nations clash after their original meeting 16 days ago was frozen off.
