Argentina coach Santiago Phelan has made just one change prior to Saturday's Rugby Championship rematch with South Africa in Mendoza.

Martin Rodriguez replaces Lucas Gonzalez Amorosino at fullback, with Juan Martin Hernandez continuing at fly-half and Toulon No.8 Juan Martin Fernandez Lobbe captaining the side.

Amorosino - now at Montpellier after a spell with Leicester Tigers - did not have his finest hour in the opening game of the tournament, spilling a simple pass to set up South Africa's first try in a 27-6 victory at Newlands in Cape Town.

"One of the aspects in which we failed to dominate against South Africa was field position - they were very good at leaving their half. We also gave away too many penalties, especially in the first-half, which forced us into losing our grip on the game," Phelan said.

"We did have good-quality ball from scrums and lineouts and we tried to play the ball, which is important. Finally, despite conceding three tries, our defensive screen, at times, was very good."

Phelan will confirm his replacements bench on Wednesday, when Springbok coach Heyneke Meyer is also expected to unveil his team.

Argentina: M Rodriguez (Stade Francais), G Camacho (Exeter), M Bosch (Biarritz), S Fernandez (Montpellier), H Agulla (Bath), JM Hernandez (Racing Metro), N Vergallo (Toulouse), R Roncero (Stade Francais), E Guinazu (Biarritz), J Figallo (Montpellier), M Carizza (Biarritz), P Albacete (Toulouse), J Farias Cabello (Los Pampas XV), A Galindo (Racing Metro), JM Fernandez Lobbe (Toulon)
