England could be without winger Chris Ashton for their match with Fiji on November 10 after the Saracens flyer was cited in the wake of his side's win over Northampton on Saturday.

The post-match Level One citing amounts to the equivalent of a yellow card against his name and that will bring his total of sin-binnings to three this season. He sat out ten minutes of Saracens opener against London Irish and was also handed a yellow card against Exeter on September 23 with both sin-binnings due to dangerous charging. And following an alleged dangerous tackle on Vasily Artemyev at the weekend, he has now received three yellow cards for foul play this season.

He will appear in front of a disciplinary panel today with Judge Jeff Blackett, Jeremy Summers and Peter Budge deciding his fate. A possible outcome is a one-match ban which would rule Ashton out of the Fiji Test as he has not been released for Saracens' match this weekend.

England are already without Saints fullback Ben Foden for the autumn internationals and the loss of Ashton would be a huge blow. He has been in impressive form for Saracens this season after his summer switch from Northampton Saints and has scored four tries so far in the current campaign.

If Ashton is ruled out, England could call on flyers Ugo Monye and Charlie Sharples who are in their squad while Harlequins fullback Mike Brown can also fill in on the wing.
