Jones was forced to leave the field during Wales' Test with Argentina on Saturday in the 39th minute with a shoulder injury. Following scans, Wales have ruled him out for the rest of the Test programme but have not put a timeframe on the injury.
Turnbull has sustained medial ligament damage to his knee and played through the injury. He will be sidelined for a "minimum of four weeks", according to the Welsh Rugby Union, and will miss Wales' fixtures with Samoa, New Zealand and Australia. Turnbull was selected at blindside for Saturday's match with first-choice No.6 Dan Lydiate out with a long-term injury. Wales will now have to look for alternative options in the back-row for their match with Samoa on Friday.
And they could call on Ryan Jones who is back in full training with the Wales side. He has been joined by Ospreys team-mate Ashley Beck who is also in the frame for a place in the team for Friday's match.
Jamie Roberts, who was forced off in the 23rd minute against Argentina with concussion, is also optimistic of playing on Friday while fellow centre Jonathan Davies is not yet fit enough to return to full training.
