Ulster's joy at extending their unbeaten start to the season with an impressive Heineken Cup victory over Northampton on Friday night has been tempered with the news that captain Johann Muller has been ruled out of action for eight weeks with an arm injury.

The Irish province made it 13 wins in-a-row and three from three in this season's battle for euro glory with a 25-6 success at Franklin's Gardens.

But they will be without their skipper for the return clash next weekend after he picked up a significant injury to his right arm. An x-ray earlier today revealed that he has an undisplaced fracture of his radius that is expected to sideline him for the next two months.
