Premature celebrations

Sam Vesty had been solid for Bath all of last season and in their final home match of the campaign, he showed his delight at crossing the line for what he thought was going to be their fourth try against Wasps. The London side were embroiled in a fight against relegation and were searching for any points they could gather. With Vesty seemingly home and hosed, Wasps' Tom Varndell scampered back and made a try-saving tackle to embarrass the former Tiger and in the process, ensured his side escaped with the losing bonus-point - a point which ended up just about keeping them in the Premiership.

Quote Unquote

"You have got to remember Chris hasn't been with the club now for four months - out of sight out of mind."
- Northampton skipper Dylan Hartley is fairly dismissive of previous Saints player Chris Ashton.
