Newport Gwent Dragons have issued a "hands off" warning to those clubs hoping to lure Wales international No.8 Toby Faletau away from Rodney Parade.

Faletau is contracted with the region until the end of the 2013-14 season but a number of clubs are circling with Premiership side Bath having reportedly tabled a six-figure transfer fee in the hope of signing the highly-rated 22-year-old.

But Dragons chairman Martyn Hazell, who is already set to lose Wales flanker Dan Lydiate at the end of the current campaign, is adamant that Faletau will not be leaving before the end of his current deal and that the PRO12 side would do all they could to re-sign him when that time comes.

"Toby is not for sale and is not going anywhere," Hazell told the South Wales Argus. "There are a number of clubs interested in him - two English clubs in particular - but it's important we hold on to him and we will be doing what we can to keep Toby here (beyond the date when his current contract expires in 2014)."
