France have been forced into a late change for their clash with Scotland on Saturday after Florian Fritz was ruled out with a foot infection.

The 29-year-old has failed to recover from blister on his left foot, which has become infected. The Toulouse centre has been replaced on the bench by the uncapped Gael Fickou.

Fritz has been unable to train since last Monday after starting for France in their 13-13 draw with Ireland last weekend. Fickou, 18, had been called up for the pre-Six Nations preparations but has played for the under-20 side during the tournament.

France must beat Scotland to avoid finish bottom of the Six Nations table and receiving the wooden spoon.
