Castres and France fullback Brice Dulin will miss the start of the Top 14 season after suffering a broken jaw on a night out with some of his team-mates.

The 23-year-old, who was part of the Castres side that claimed the Top 14 crown with victory over Toulon last month, was reportedly attacked on Friday night during a festival in Mont-de-Marsan where they were showing off the Bouclier de Brennus trophy.

AFP reports that Dulin, who won his seventh Test cap against New Zealand last month, has been ruled out of Castres' pre-season friendly with Connacht on August 7 and their two opening Top 14 matches against Perpignan and Grenoble.
