Former South Africa international Tonderai Chavhanga has left the Dragons and signed for Super Rugby's Cheetahs.

Chavhanga's contract finished at the end of last season and he has taken up a deal with the Bloemfontein side and is likely to line-up for them in the Currie Cup. Chavhanga scored 10 tries in 28 appearances for the Dragons and the Cheetahs are delighted to have him in their squad.

"We have Tonderai on board for the rest of the year," Cheetahs CEO Harold Verster told SARugbymag.co.za. "He wants to make a comeback, so he needs to prove to us that he can add value. He's fully fit and looking very confident."
