England rise to third in IRB rankings
ESPN Staff
August 20, 2013
England have risen to third in the latest International Rugby Board rankings following Australia's 47-29 loss at the hands of the All Blacks. The Wallabies could have moved up to second had they prevailed in the Bledisloe Cup clash but they have now moved down to fourth. And despite the Springboks beating Argentina by a 60-point margin, they stay in third. The All Blacks continue to reign supreme at the top of the rankings with the last time they were off the summit back in November 2009. In another change to the rankings, Canada have climbed to 14th after defeating the USA at the weekend.
