Bradley Davies is set to join Wasps next season and in the process, become yet another of Wales' number to opt to continue their career away from the regional system.

Davies, who has played twice for Wales during the autumn internationals, is currently running out for the Blues but The Rugby Paper claims he has agreed to a move to link-up with his former coach Dai Young at Wasps. The news will come as a huge blow for the Blues who are still attempting to tie down Sam Warburton and Leigh Halfpenny on new deals amid interest from teams in the Top 14.

Hours after the report emerged it was also reported that Cardiff Blues had stepped in to offer Davies a new contract but that he was committed to a move.

Reports last week said Ian Evans was on the verge of agreeing a move to Toulon while Alun-Wyn Jones has been heavily linked with Clermont Auvergne. With Luke Charteris turning out for Perpignan, if Davies' move comes to fruition, which seems increasingly likely, then Wales' four first choice locks could all be playing overseas next term.

The same reports which say Davies has agreed to join Wasps, also say he turned down Leicester, Saracens and Gloucester along with an unnamed side in the Top 14.
