IRB World Rankings
Wales slip down rankings after defeat
December 2, 2013
Wales are the only movers after the final internationals of the year, slipping down from fifth to sixth after their defeat in Cardiff. But the year ends with the southern hemisphere dominating the IRB World Rankings
Wales' ninth successive defeat by the Wallabies means their ranking points total falls 0.79, allowing France, who did not play, to move above them.
The result leaves Wales where they started the autumn internationals after wins over Argentina and Tonga and defeats to South Africa and Australia.
Australia, who briefly dropped to fourth below England after their defeat at Twickenham, moved up to third following the win in Scotland and consolidated that place in Cardiff.
