Munster have signed Cardiff Blues back-rower Robin Copeland on a two-year deal.

The news will come as a huge blow for the Blues with fellow forward Bradley Davies widely tipped to be joining Wasps next season. They are also waiting on news regarding Sam Warburton and Leigh Halfpenny with both heavily linked with moves away from the region come the season's end.

While they are yet to be confirmed, Copeland will join Munster at the end of the season. The Irish-born back-rower has been in fantastic form for the Blues this term and played a starring role in their impressive win against Toulon back in October.

"We've seen Robin in action first hand and we've always been hugely impressed by his potential," Munster coach Rob Penney said. "From his experience in playing a number of positions he brings a great deal of versatility and we believe he will be a great addition to the squad. He will add value to a highly competitive area of our game."
