Alapati Leiua is set to leave the Hurricanes for Wasps after the Super Rugby 2014 season, with Sunday News reporting the rampaging winger has signed a three-year deal with the London club worth more than £600,00 ($NZ1.2 million).

Leiua, 25, is at the peak of his career having played 35 Super Rugby matches for the Hurricanes and 52 ITM Cup matches for Wellington Lions, and he was on the cusp of New Zealand All Blacks selection last season. He remained loyal to his Samoan heritage, however, choosing to play alongside his older brother, London Irish flanker Ofisa Treviranus, and he made his Test debut for his country of birth against Scotland in Durban in June. He played five tests in 2013.

Sunday News also reported that Chiefs wing Alesana Tikoirotuma will join Leiua alongside former All Blacks winger Zac Guildford (Clermont) and Waikato captain and Blues midfielder Jackson Willison (Grenoble) in heading to Europe after the Super Rugby season.

Tikoirotuma, who made his Test debut for Fiji in 2013, playing in three internationals, is believed to have signed a two-year deal with Harlequins, where he will play alongside former All Blacks fly-half Nick Evans on a deal said to match that of Leiua at Wasps.
