Sharks' flanker Jean Deysel was cited following his red card offence during the Sharks win over the Crusaders on Saturday night. Deysel was red carded in the 16th minute after he stomped on Crusaders' Jordan Taufua's head.

The Sharks were then forced to play with 13 men for a period in the second half after Willem Alberts was yellow carded for foul play. Despite the loss of two players for a period, Sharks captain Bismark du Plessis said the red card worked in the side's advantage.

"A red card that early in the game just brings the team so much closer together," he said. "Everybody talked so much, it made my job so much easier."
