Italy, stung by defeat by Samoa last week, were again beaten, going down 26-23 to Japan in Tokoyo, a result which leaves them still looking for their first win in 2014. There was little in the game throughout, and the teams were level at 13-13 at the break. The key score came around the hour when Male Sa'u's try for Japan to put his side 26-16 ahead. Italy pressed hard in the final minutes and were rewarded when Robert Barbieri went over but it came too late. Ayumu Goromaru kicked four penalties and a conversion for Japan. It was Japan's first win over the Italians and their tenth on the trot in Tests. © ESPN Sports Media Ltd
