New South Wales coach Michael Cheika has rubbished reports linking him with a move to Toulon, dismissing such suggestions as "fantasy land". ESPNScrum in Australia claimed Cheika was being offered in the region of US$750,000 a year to switch to Toulon, but he laughed that off. "Only US$750,000?" he told the Daily Telegraph. "Half the team is going to get more money than that! I thought I'd get more if I was going to Toulon. I think there is some fantasy land going on at the moment, but it's all good fun to read." Cheika is involved in discussions to extend his current contract which expires at the end of next season. But there is uncertainty over the future direction of the Waratahs who are likely to be under new ownership in 2015. Exactly who will be running them depends on the work of an ARU sub-committee currently interviewing several private equity consortiums involved in the takeover. ESPNScrum sources in Australia insist that the Toulon move is very much on the cards. © ESPN Sports Media Ltd
