London Irish have confirmed that Sailosi Tagicakibau has left the club after nine years at the Madejski Stadium.

The Samoan winger, who spent the latter part of last season on loan at Super Rugby's Stormers, joined the Exiles in December 2005, going on to score 58 tries in 158 appearances for the club.

"Losi has been a great competitor for London Irish over the last nine years" London Irish Director of Rugby Brian Smith said. "We would like to thank him for all of his efforts and wish him and his family all the best for the future.

"We are entering a new chapter at London Irish and have assembled a squad of players that can take the club forward and achieve the long term goals set out by our new owners."

The Reading Post reports that Wasps are ready to take Tagicakibau to Adams Park after the 31-year-old struggled to force his way into Irish's starting XV last season.

Irish have also seen the departure of back-row Jon Fisher, who has been released early from his contract at the Madejski. The Exiles had high hopes for Fisher, but he missed most of last season with a serious concussion.

Fisher is now on trial at Premiership champions Northampton Saints and has been named on the bench for their pre-season friendly against Rotherham on Saturday.

It is the second time Fisher has been released by Irish after he was let go in 2011 having come up through the Academy. He signed a new three-year deal with the Exiles last summer, but a heavy knock against Saracens on the opening day of last season jeopardised his chances of cementing a first-team spot.
