Thomas Waldrom has put his enjoyable start to life at Exeter Chiefs down to Rob Baxter's style of play and believes the club can go from strength to strength following their impressive start to the Aviva Premiership season.

Waldrom joined Chiefs from Leicester Tigers this summer and notched his third try of the new campaign during Sunday's victory against Harlequins.

Chiefs have started in fine fettle having hammered London Welsh on the opening weekend, before responding to their narrow defeat to Leicester with triumphs against Gloucester and Quins.

"It's been amazing," Waldrom told the Chiefs' official website. "I have settled really well, and that's probably compliments to Rob [Baxter] and going out and playing a style that suits me a lot more that it did at the Tigers.

"We've got to follow it [the good start] up. We said after the first week that we had to keep taking steps forward and it's the same again now.

"We haven't had to take a backward step yet and reassess too many things. So long as we keep building and doing what we're doing week in, week out we should be healthy and go out next weekend and put in another good performance."

Chiefs sit fourth in the table having amassed 14 points from their opening four matches.
