Leicester Tigers have completed the loan signing of Wales second-row Lou Reed.

Reed, who has five caps, joins the Tigers from Cardiff Blues and will bolster their depleted resources in the second-row. The Tigers currently have Geoff Parling, Ed Slater and Louis Deacon sidelined and have acted to add to their options.

Reed will compete with Brad Thorn, Sebastien de Chaves and Graham Kitchener for a spot in Leicester's second-row and Richard Cockerill is pleased with his capture. "We wanted to bring in some experience to those second row options and Lou was keen to take up this opportunity with us."
