The first round of European rugby brought further injury woe for England boss Stuart Lancaster as he saw both Manu Tuilagi and Kyle Eastmond forced off.

For Tuilagi, his injury is a recurrence of a groin problem that saw him sidelined in the early part of the season. He pulled up after just 15 minutes during the Tigers' win over Ulster and Richard Cockerill said he is unlikely to be fit for next weekend's match versus the Scarlets.

"It's a recurrence of his groin, which is not great," Tigers director of rugby Richard Cockerill told BBC Sport. "That was three weeks last time. That's going to be an issue for him, with us, and obviously with the autumn series."

He continued: "He just went to accelerate and he felt his groin go. The way he plays, you just can't play with that sort of problem."

Eastmond also left the field during Bath's hammering at the hands of Glasgow. It looked like he was nursing his ribs when he walked off in the 36th minute.
