Leinster will be without flanker Kevin McLaughlin for 12 weeks due to shoulder surgery.

McLaughlin picked up the injury against Connacht and he is now facing a lengthy spell on the sidelines. The news sees him ruled out of Leinster's last two pool matches in the Champions Cup along with a number of Guinness PRO12 games including Saturday's against Ulster.

Leinster are also waiting on Dominic Ryan ahead of the Ulster match after he picked up an injury against Munster last Friday.

There is better news, however, with Marty Moore, Fergus McFadden and Ben Te'o all available for selection while Cian Healy and Sean O'Brien continue to make progress and are on track for a return in the next few weeks.
