Harlequins flanker Luke Wallace has extended his contract, keeping him at the club until June 2017.

24-year-old Wallace has played for England Saxons and has scored nine tries in 95 appearances since making his Quins debut in 2010.

"I am very pleased to have extended my time at Harlequins," said Wallace. "I feel privileged to be a part of this great squad and to be in a position to develop and learn alongside some of the best back-row talents in the country.

"It was an easy decision to continue my time with Harlequins, the club that I began my professional career with, and I'm looking forward to the exciting challenges that the coming years will present."

Harlequins Head Coach John Kingston commented: "We are absolutely delighted that Luke has chosen to extend his career with us. He is yet another product of our outstanding Academy and he exhibits a fantastic professional approach to all he does on a day to day basis. In a very committed group, no player displays a stronger desire to improve all aspects of his game - this is a quality which will undoubtedly serve him wonderfully over his future career at Harlequins."

Director of Rugby Conor O'Shea added: "At 24 Luke already has a wealth of experience and from my point of view he is just going to get better and better. We are looking forward to having him back from the injury he sustained in the European Rugby Champions Cup match away at Leinster, but more importantly to the impact he will have within this group for years to come."
