Saili off to France following Blues release

The Blues have granted back-rower Peter Saili a release, allowing him to take up an offer in France.

The 27-year-old forward was granted the release in conjunction with New Zealand Rugby, with all three parties satisfied by the outcome.

The Blues have not yet named a replacement but will continue to explore options ahead of their Super Rugby opener against the Chiefs at North Harbour Stadium on February 14.

Saili made his debut in 2009 and went on to play 79 games for the Auckland-based franchise.
