Gloucester power into Challenge Cup quarter-finals

Gloucester claimed their sixth win from six in the European Challenge Cup to secure top seeding for the quarter-finals after a 31-20 win at Brive.

Tom Savage and Dan Robson touched down for the Cherry and Whites before the break with a penalty try and a score from Matt Kvesic ensuring the visitors wrapped up victory in the second half. Full-back James Hook kicked all four conversions and a 13th-minute penalty for Gloucester, while Brive's scores came from a penalty try midway through the second half and Thomas Acquier's touchdown in the 80th minute.

Riaan Swanepoel kicked two penalties and the first conversion for Brive, while Nicolas Bezy took over the duties from the tee for the last-minute conversion.

In the other game, Oyonnax defeated Zebre 20-3 to consolidate second place in Pool Five behind Gloucester. Guillaume Bousses, Valentin Ursache and Pedrie Wannenburg scored tries for the French side while fly-half Regis Lespinas kicked a penalty and one conversion. Zebre's points came thanks to a 44th-minute penalty by Luciano Orquera.
