England wing Jack Nowell has been released back to club side Exeter for their clash with Harlequins on Saturday.

Nowell is expected to challenge Jonny May for a starting berth in England's crucial Six Nations encounter with Ireland in Dublin next month and has been given the chance to impress in this weekend's Aviva Premiership fixture.

"It'll be good for Jack to get some more game time," said England head coach Stuart Lancaster. "We are looking forward to seeing how he and the other guys play for their clubs this weekend ahead of selection."

England go to Dublin on Sunday, March 1 knowing victory over Ireland will set them up for a tilt at their first Grand Slam since 2003. The two nations are the only undefeated sides left in this year's championship.
