Stormers fullback Robert du Preez has been cited for a dangerous tackle during the Stormers loss to the Sharks in Durban on Saturday night. Du Preez is alleged to have contravened Law 10.4 (j) Lifting tackle, in an incident which occurred in the 76th minute of the match.

Du Preez was originally issued a yellow card by referee Glen Jackson, but upon further review, the Citing Commissioner deemed the incident to have reached the red card threshold for foul play. Du Preez will face a hearing early this week and may face missing the first week of the play-offs.
