Italy will be without centre Luca Morisi for the Rugby World Cup.

Morisi tore a ligament in his right knee in Italy's defeat in Wales last weekend and now faces an extend spell on the sidelines. Italy are yet to call up a replacement.

Gonzalo Garcia was another who picked up an injury in Cardiff but he will stay with the squad as he continues the rehabilitation on his right ankle.

Sergio Parisse, Italy's premier player, is still recovering after having fluid drained from a haematoma on his leg. Italy are still hopeful he will feature in their World Cup opener against France on September 19.
