Jonathan Joseph has been passed fit to start in England's crucial Rugby World Cup pool match against Australia on Saturday. England know if they lose against the Wallabies, they will be out of the World Cup but in a timely boost Joseph has recovered from the pectoral injury that kept him out of their defeat to Wales.

England delayed naming the team until midday on Thursday to give the players a chance to come through their final training session unscathed. He has proven his fitness to the coaches and takes the No.13 jersey outside Brad Barritt.

Ben Youngs was another who was an injury doubt heading into the final team selection after picking up a knock to his ankle against Wales but he keeps his place at scrum-half while Ben Morgan returns at No.8. Nick Easter - called into the squad to replace the injured Billy Vunipola - is named on the bench alongside Sam Burgess and George Kruis while Joe Launchbury starts in the second-row alongside Geoff Parling with Courtney Lawes ruled out.

"JJ and Ben Youngs are both fit and raring to go, as are the rest of the squad for what will be a huge game against a very good team," Stuart Lancaster said. "England-Australia matches at Twickenham are always massive occasions, this one more than ever, and we want everyone behind us so we can get the result we all want."
