England's Eddie Jones is reportedly set to meet Northampton Saints' Alex King in the near future as he continues to build his backroom staff ahead of next year's Six Nations.

The Rugby Football Union has already made a move for Saracens' Paul Gustard while Bristol forwards coach Steve Borthwick has also been heavily linked with a switch to the national side. And King is the latest name in the frame according to reports in both The Times and the Daily Telegraph.

When Jones took the job ex-England coach Stuart Lancaster's assistants Andy Farrell, Mike Catt and Graham Rowntree had all been retained to allow the new boss the chance to assess their credentials before deciding whether to keep them on or not. But all three were released on Monday allowing Jones the chance to build his backroom staff from the ground up.

King is under contract with Northampton until next season where he holds an attack and skills brief and could slot into the role vacated by Catt.
