Bordeaux Begles were forced to withstand a second-half fight back from the Ospreys as they sealed a 33-27 victory, their first European Champions Cup win of the season, on Saturday.

The French hosts held a 25-10 lead at the break in Bordeaux, as Julien Rey, Berend Botha and Sofiane Guitoune all scored tries to put them in the ascendancy despite Justin Tipuric's early score for the visitors.

Raphael Ibanez's side secured a try-scoring bonus point midway through the second half, but by that point the Ospreys comeback had already begun.

Eli Walker and Alun Wyn Jones touched down either side of Yann Lesgourgues' effort for the hosts, and when Dan Biggar scored a try of his own with seven minutes remaining the deficit was just three points.

That set up a nervy finish for the hosts, but Bordeaux secured victory when Baptiste Serin sent a penalty sailing through the posts with time having already expired. The five-point win keeps the home side -- for whom Pierre Bernard kicked 10 points -- in the hunt for a last-eight place.

Biggar finished with 12 points for the Ospreys, who remain top of Pool Two ahead of Exeter's trip to Clermont on Sunday, and have made a habit of piling on the points in the second half of games in Europe this season.
