Scotland have fallen out of the world's top 10 in the latest rankings from World Rugby.

Their defeat to England sees them fall to 11th in the most recent list with Japan and Fiji rising to ninth and tenth respectively. England's win at Murrayfield sees them rise to seventh while France fall to eighth.

The top six spots all remain the same with New Zealand heading up the rankings with Australia second, South Africa third and Wales fourth. Argentina and Ireland remain in fifth and sixth respectively.

England coach Eddie Jones frequently refers to the rankings and when asked on Saturday how much emphasis he puts on the list, he responded: "Well you get judged by your world ranking.

"When the World Cup draw comes if we're ranked eighth in the world, we're going to be in another pool of death and that's not nice, because sometimes it's hard to get out of it."
