The USA Eagles have secured an emphatic 64-0 win over Chile in their third Americas Rugby Championship match on Sunday. Earning a huge 10-tries to none victory, the Eagles easily had the measure of Chile from kick-off and gave their home crowd something to cheer about in their final home match of the inaugural competition.

Six debutants found the line for the Eagles, with Nic Edwards capping off his first start with an outstanding team try in the first half, while Chile had little to cheer about as they fell to their second hammering loss of the championship.

Chile was always going to struggle against the Eagles, and from the first minute they felt the pressure. Turning the ball over several times in the opening minutes, Chile crumbled under the World No.6 side, holding them out for just 12-minutes. The Eagles crashed over for their first try early with Chris Baumann finding the line. Minutes later JP Eloff scored his first international try when he went over, and was soon followed by Nic Edwards.

Despite losing both Baumann and Edwards before the break, the Eagles continued to pile on the pressure and earned their third consecutive bonus point with a fourth try through Joseph Taufete'e to take a strong 24-0 lead into the break.

Ill-discipline from the side saw Olive Kilifi receive yellow just before half-time, but that didn't stop the Eagles' momentum, scoring three tries within 10-minutes of the restart. Lorenzo Thomas, Jake Anderson and Mike Te'o all scoring their first international tries. A grubber kick from Luke Hume into Chile's in-goal saw Chad London score, before he went over himself in the 73rd minute. Te'o ended proceedings in the 77th minute with the final try.
