Woodward gives Bracken deadline
September 17, 1999

England coach Clive Woodward has given scrum half Kyran Bracken until the first day of the World Cup to prove his fitness - or be replaced in the squad.
Bracken's hopes of making the squad are fading fast and new boy Martyn Wood has been put on stand by for a last minute call up.
"He has until the start of the World Cup to prove that he is fully fit but if that cannot happen, then Martyn will step into the squad," said Woodward
"It is not a real problem for us because Martyn has been with the squad throughout the build up and is ready to slot straight in."
The coach, however is keen to see the Saracens scrum half (pictured) take his place in the squad. "I have spoken to Kyran and he says that he is trying everything to be fit for the World Cup and I would love to see him there."
